When people think of Trendwatching, they often think about fashion. In the world of Science of the Time, fashion is just a minor spot between the other trends. This week fashion deserved to be in the spotlight a little bit more, as we went ‘live’ at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW). Together with Coolhunters from the Fontys Academy of Creative Industries and Hogeschool van Amsterdam we conducted a fashion week coolhunt. As we write, our spotters are still downtown and uptown. We will be more than happy to show you our insights in the coming weeks. Fashion is a great mirror for society, so the results should be pretty interesting! Of course there were more fashion-weeks in other places the last and upcoming weeks. We decided to focus on the Dutch one because we’re able to have the right perspective by being physically there. This Dutch ‘mirror’ will give the analysis of the week we will write after the end of AIFW, more ground.
